Book store trip

Today i visited one of the University book stores and some books i saw brought back my childhood memories.Like "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "Adventures of Tom Sawyer". Those were happy memories for me because with those books i was with Finn and Sawyer all the way through their adventures. I felt like i was right there with them and witnessing everything they did first hand with them.Those days i won't put a book down unless i have read it to the last page of it.That much a book worm i was then.My dad sometimes will order me to sleep around 11pm or so, but still i will switch on the reading lamp and will keep on reading. I wish i could have an adventure like Finn and Sawyer.*sigh :-)

P.S: there was this handsome American "librarian-bookstore keeper" too! *winks

Me: Ok,here's your prescription.An antibiotic for 10 days, Vaginal cream for 3 days and a vaginal wash.Wash at least 3 times a day.
Mrs V:Do i have to wash my whole body with the wash?
Me:*with a very straight face) No,It's a vaginal wash.You will wash your vagina & genital area with it.

Feeling blue...

.. and old Ricky Martin cd cheered me up. Songs like "She Bangs" and "Shake your BOn Bon" will make you forget that you were even feeling down. *sigh!! haha.. :D

Graduation around the corner.

The class of 2005 is going to have their graduation on the 28th of this month.That's us!yeah,we officially will finish our one year internships on that date and can start calling ourselves doctors from that day onwards.
We will be getting our degrees and the honourary stethoscopes on that day.Hmmm..Its not like we dont have steths already,but it is the tradition.
Hmmm..should run to the nearest mall to get a nice dress and all other girly stuff to get ready for the day..
I just cant help smiling thinking that the day is finally coming... :)

Health issues

Now here is a pressing issue for me. The lack of articles on different dhivehi websites about current health issues in the Maldives. Articles or web links which provides the readers information about a certain disease that's spreading around and how to prevent and treat etc etc aren't practically non existent.I was surfing the other day and checking out various sites, which i thought might have links providing such information.I was specifically looking for anything related to Chikungunya Fever.But i didnt find any such links or articles.I checked out the haveeru website through which i couldn't find anything about it.Finally i tried to access the Ministry of Health website.The freaking web page was refreshing by itself every 2 seconds and i couldnt get to see anything on it. Their web master must be in a coma or something!What a shame on the health system!And to the goverment web network in general!!!!Shame on them!!
I believe that these websites should offer information relevant for the normal population about such epidemics.Concuring an epidemic through educating the mass population is vital.

Oh,i gotta run now.. I will continue ranting about this another time..

back again

Have been away for so long that i almost lost my way here. ;)
My husband has gone back to UK and now i am back with the old gang at a new flat we rented recently.It looks like the national dumping ground and the only comfort zone that exists with in the four walls of it is our rooms.
Started my OB & GYN rotation this month and will be continuing till the end of march.Hmmm....Looks like that i am not going to like much this speciality of medicine.Maybe i dont enjoy looking at vaginas all day long. Oh,and i was in Orthopedics last month and had a fine time with them.I particularly enjoyed working in the trauma department.
Hmm..OK.that's it.. Will write again soon.. :)
